Everyone talks about the importance of change. But how does it happen? Typically, it begins with a moment of uncertainty—a brush with the unfamiliar or new surroundings, or just something that takes beyond our usual frame of reference. It’s that tilt of the head when we contemplate a painting or hear a new song. In that moment, our perception has changed. We are seeing, hearing, and ultimately, thinking anew.
